For the past several years, Cayuga ENT and Head-Neck Surgeons and Cayuga Medical Center have collaborated with the Sir Alexander Ewing-Ithaca College Speech and Hearing Clinic to offer important services to area residents with voice, speech, and swallowing disorders. We have modeled this program after a similar clinic at the University of Pittsburgh, which is recognized as a national leader in this field of medicine.

If you suffer from either conductive hearing loss or single-sided deafness and conventional hearing aids are not working well for you, consider talking with your doctor about the bone-anchored hearing aid (BAHA). This hearing treatment, which is surgically implanted, works very well for people with specific types of hearing loss. The ENT (ear, nose, throat) head and neck surgeons at Cayuga Medical Center are performing this surgery with very positive results. It is a well-established approach to treating hearing loss and has improved the quality of life for a number of area residents.
